A Systemic Literature Review on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in Korea: 2007-2020.6
Choi Jung-Jin

Abstract
Objectives: Since the introduction of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in Korea in the late 1980s, numerous studies have been conducted up to the present time. However, there are not many systemic reviews showing the landscape of SFBT literature. The goal of this study was to understand the trends of SFBT studies published through Korean academic journals from 2007 to June 2020.

Methods: Major search engines such as RISS were used to collect the data, and the research topics were analyzed for content analysis. For analysis of research methods, major data collection methods, major data analysis methods, and statistical significance of research results were examined.

Results: The results of the study are as follows: First, an increasing volume of research in SFBT has been conducted every year since 2007. Second, the research area of ??SFBT is expanding and diversifying. Third, research on individual and family counseling is increasing compared to before. Nevertheless, the most continuously engaged research has been on group counseling. Fourth, despite the quantitative and qualitative growth of research, there are not enough data to judge how faithfully each study followed the principles, central philosophies, and techniques of SFBT. Finally, the proportion of non-therapeutic studies was significantly reduced compared to therapeutic studies.

Conclusions: The results indicate that SFBT will be applied to more diverse population groups and problems. For qualitative as well as quantitative growth, special attention is required for research methods on SFBT.
